Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly stole a surveillance camera from a local residence earlier this month.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. on July 9, when a homeowner spotted a man tampering with their surveillance equipment outside their property. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

“We encourage the public to always report suspicious activities in their neighbourhood,” said Const. Sofie Winkels of the Kamloops RCMP.

“Since the incident, investigators have obtained an image of the suspect and are releasing it in hopes that someone will recognize him and come forward.”

Police are urging anyone with information or who can identify the man in the photo to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000, quoting file number 2025-21868.
