Health officials in Kamloops are sounding the alarm following the discovery of multiple street drugs contaminated with extremely potent and potentially lethal substances. A new drug advisory, issued by Harm Reduction | Population and Public Health, warns that drugs sold locally as “Down, Dope, or Fentanyl” have tested positive for carfentanil (1.2%), fentanyl (21-50%), and/or fluorofentanyl (21-50%).
