Get ready to extend your summer with a brand new three-day music festival that promises to bring the laid-back beach energy straight to the alpine mountains. The inaugural Endless Summer Event is set to take place August 8th through 10th at Sun Peaks Resort, offering a sun-drenched celebration of live music, DJ sets, and a relaxed mountain lifestyle.
Inspired by the desire to “bring the beach to the mountains,” festival organizer Naomi Kerchinski explains the motivation behind the event. “We wanted to bring some of that good beach summer energy that our region is known for up into our mountain village,” she said in a recent interview. This new event fits into Sun Peaks’ broader strategy of hosting diverse festivals that attract different audiences to the scenic mountain destination.
Three Stages, Endless Music
The festival will feature an impressive lineup of over 20 DJs and live acts spanning three stages: the brand-new Sun Peaks Centre Stage (BC’s largest covered outdoor venue), the Bottoms Mountainside Lounge, and the Endless Summer Free Stage in Sun Peaks Plaza. The Sunday music party on the free stage promises a family-friendly vibe where guests can relax on picnic blankets and soak up the sunshine with chill DJ sets.
Artists on the bill include internationally renowned names such as DJ Sneak, Tiger & Woods, Tortured Soul (live), Mood II Swing, and Lisa Shaw (live), among others. With talent flying in from Paris, Los Angeles, and Italy, festivalgoers can expect a fresh mix of disco and house music that is upbeat and danceable — but not overpowering.
“We want Endless Summer to be more approachable and fun, with a laid-back lifestyle vibe. It’s a perfect festival for people curious about the big dance music festivals but maybe felt out of place or priced out before,” Kerchinski noted.
Family-Friendly and Full Weekend Packages
Endless Summer isn’t just about the music. The festival maintains a family-friendly atmosphere, with the free Sunday event allowing everyone to join in the fun. For those looking to make a full weekend of it, accommodation packages are available, including partnerships with local hotels such as the Sundance Lodge, where many artists will be staying.
Ticket prices are accessible, with general admission weekend passes at $90 and VIP weekend passes at $120. Single-day tickets are also available, and those who sign up as Sun Peaks Insiders can enjoy 50% off tickets. Tickets are available now at ShowPass, and more information can be found at Sun Peaks Resort.
More Summer Fun at Sun Peaks
Endless Summer kicks off a busy late summer lineup in Sun Peaks. Just a few weeks later, the Alpenglow Arts Festival (September 5-7) will celebrate local culture and creativity, featuring intimate performances and workshops, culminating in a headline concert by world-renowned guitarist Jesse Cook. Tickets start at $90 and can be purchased through ShowPass.
For animal lovers, Paws in the Peaks (September 12-14) offers a pet-friendly weekend with agility courses, adoption showcases, and dog-friendly trails — a fan favorite for visitors with four-legged companions.
Endless Summer — and Endless Adventure
Sun Peaks is more than just a festival destination. The mountain village offers a host of summer activities including mountain biking on lift-accessed trails, hiking through alpine meadows, golfing at a picturesque 18-hole course, canoeing and paddleboarding on nearby lakes, horseback riding, and family-friendly fun like disc golf and village playgrounds.
Visitors can also unwind with alpine yoga sessions, spa treatments, and strolling through the charming pedestrian village with its shops and dining options — all while enjoying breathtaking mountain scenery and local wildlife.
Don’t Miss Out
As Kerchinski sums it up, “Whether you’re looking for music, art, pet-friendly fun, or simply want to explore the stunning natural beauty of the BC mountains, Sun Peaks has something for everyone this summer. Don’t miss out on these fantastic events and all the adventures our village has to offer!”
