Kamloops RCMP are currently investigating an assault involving a weapon that occurred on Victoria Street Thursday afternoon.

Shortly after 1:30 p.m. on August 28, 2025, officers responded to reports of a male being cut with a machete in the 300 block of Victoria Street. Upon arrival, Kamloops RCMP and an off-duty Lillooet officer intervened in a separate assault where one male was attacking another with a metal pipe.

Police identified and located four males connected to the incidents, all known to each other. A 31-year-old man was arrested for assault with a weapon. One individual sustained minor injuries and was treated by paramedics on scene but declined hospital treatment.
