Sign for the now-former Frick and Frack Tap House at 6th and Victoria in downtown Kamloops/via Paul James
One of the staples of the downtown Kamloops bar and restaurant scene for nearly the last 30 years has begun turning the page toward its latest chapter.
Frick and Frack Taphouse at the corner of Victoria and 6th Avenue is officially closed.
However, the building at 577 Victoria Street is not going to be boarded up.
Instead, the new ownership and management group which took over the location about a year ago appears to be rebranding.
Not a lot of information available about what the design and overall plans are for Stone and Wood Public House.
The website for the rebrand appears to have gone up not long before Frick and Frack served its last drink and meal on Saturday, September 20th.
The site does not contain any specific information on the menu, or what the overall feel and theme of the establishment may be.
Radio NL has reached out the management for more details.
Frick and Frack first opened its doors in 1996 after taking over the location, which had been a Fogg N’ Suds before that.
Under the local rebrand, Frick and Frack would remain a popular spot for locals and visitors staying in downtown hotels through both its location and laid-back ambiance.
Staff on-site Monday helping with the tear down told Radio NL the plans are to have the new-look location reopened under the new Stone and Wood Public House brand in around a month — end of October.
