The Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada has announced the election of Acacia Pangilinan as its new President for the 2025–2026 term. Pangilinan currently serves as Executive Director of both the Kamloops & District Chamber of Commerce and the Merritt & District Chamber of Commerce in British Columbia.
A respected leader within Canada’s national Chamber network, Pangilinan is widely known for her collaborative approach, strategic mindset, and passionate advocacy for local businesses. Since taking the helm of the Kamloops Chamber in 2019, she has spearheaded numerous initiatives to strengthen the voice of small businesses and recently formalized a partnership with the Merritt Chamber to support regional economic development efforts.
“This is a pivotal time for Chambers,” said Pangilinan following her election. “Our communities are navigating transformational change, and Chambers must step forward with real leadership and tangible value. By leaning into connection, collaboration, and tools like AI, we can equip Chamber leaders to do what they do best: champion and grow thriving local economies.”
Pangilinan’s influence extends well beyond her local community. She is a founding member of CCEC’s Chamber Federation, current President of the Chamber of Commerce Executives of BC, and holds the Gold Level Accredited Chamber Executive designation. In 2024, she was honoured with the national Chamber Executive of the Year Award for Chambers with 500–999 members.
Deneen Belliveau, Executive Director of CCEC, praised Pangilinan’s appointment as a reflection of her dedication to the national Chamber movement.
“Acacia’s election as President of CCEC is a reflection of her unwavering commitment to the Chamber Network,” said Belliveau. “She consistently shares her time and expertise to support her peers, and her kind, thoughtful approach to leadership brings people together to achieve meaningful results. Under her stewardship, CCEC will continue to evolve and expand its impact, equipping Chamber professionals with the tools, knowledge and connections they need to lead with confidence into the future.”
