A man accused of carrying out a series of property crimes across multiple jurisdictions has been arrested following a coordinated police operation involving the Kamloops RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, the Integrated Municipal Provincial Auto Crime Team, and Kamloops Police Dog Services.
The arrest took place on Nov. 4, 2025, after what police describe as an intensive, intelligence-driven investigation into property-related offences in both Kamloops and Salmon Arm. Officers were able to identify and locate the suspect, who was taken into custody without incident. Several stolen vehicles were also recovered as part of the operation.
“This arrest demonstrates the continued commitment of the Kamloops CRU, PDS and our provincial partners in IMPACT to target and disrupt those who cause significant harm to our communities,” said Superintendent Jeff Pelley, Officer in Charge of the Kamloops RCMP Detachment. “By working together across jurisdictions, we’re able to hold these individuals accountable and reduce property crime throughout the region.”
Charges have been approved against Tyler Armstrong, including two counts of driving while disqualified, two counts of possession of stolen property, flight from police, and four counts of failing to comply with court orders. Police say the investigation remains active.
Anyone with information related to property crime in the Kamloops area is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
