The search for Sheri-Lynn Bissonnette has come to a tragic end. Family members announced Monday morning, Dec. 1, that Bissonnette was found deceased. No additional details have been released, and the family is asking the public to respect their privacy as they grieve.
In a statement, loved ones expressed deep gratitude to the community: “We would like to thank everyone who actively searched and helped us during the last few days. We have no words to express our gratitude for the support this community has shown.”
Bissonnette was first reported missing on Nov. 26 after leaving her Aberdeen home around 9:30 a.m. in her metallic blue 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, reportedly en route to Bachelor Heights. Her disappearance was described by family as highly unusual. Her phone had been left at home, and attempts to track her vehicle through OnStar were unsuccessful due to outdated technology.
The Kamloops RCMP had opened a file and publicly appealed for assistance as community members mobilized across social media to help find her.
As the investigation continues, police have not released further information.
