
Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP responded late Saturday night to a house fire on Shuswap Road, assisting Kamloops Fire Rescue and BC Ambulance Service.
Police were called to the 600-block of Shuswap Road at about 11:45 p.m. on Jan. 11. One man was taken to hospital with serious injuries sustained in the fire.
The residence was destroyed, and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
“During the early stages of the investigation the cause of the fire is still being determined,” said Cpl. Dana Napier, spokesperson for the Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP. “Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP will continue to work with Kamloops Fire Rescue to identify the cause of the fire that burned the residence to the ground.”
