A Lillooet couple is celebrating a $2.5 million Lotto 6/49 win after matching all six numbers in the January 31, 2026 draw.

Rene L. and Brittany C. checked their ticket on PlayNow.com and learned they had split the $5-million Classic Jackpot with a winning ticket sold in Quebec.

“My first thought was, ‘No!’ and then I jumped up and showed Brittany,” Rene said. “She thought I was playing a trick on her.”

After verifying the ticket at the Pharmasave on Main Street in Lillooet — where it was purchased — the reality of the win set in.

“It feels unreal,” Brittany said.

The couple plans to pay off their mortgage, search for a new home and enjoy more time with their kids.

Lotto 6/49 is drawn Wednesdays and Saturdays after 7:30 p.m. PST and features the $5-million Classic Jackpot and the Gold Ball Draw, with a jackpot starting at $10 million.
