
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man allegedly involved in a liquor store theft last month in downtown Kamloops.
According to the Kamloops RCMP Detachment, frontline officers received a report of a theft on Feb. 18, 2026, just before 7 p.m. The incident occurred near the 400-block of 3rd Avenue.
Investigators say a man allegedly stole more than $100 worth of liquor from the store before leaving the area. As part of the ongoing investigation, police have released a CCTV image of the suspect in hopes that someone will recognize him.
“As part of the investigation police are releasing an image from CCTV of the alleged suspect in hopes that someone from the public will be able to identify him,” said Cpl. Dana Napier, spokesperson for the Kamloops RCMP.
The suspect is described as a man with dark hair, wearing a ball cap and a black jacket at the time of the incident.
Anyone with information about the investigation or who can identify the man in the photo is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2026-5134. Tips can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
Police say all information provided will be reviewed as the investigation continues.
