Homeowners, renovators, and local businesses will come together this weekend for the 2026 Kamloops Spring HomeShow, a large-scale community event highlighting the latest in home improvement, design, and sustainable living.
Taking place at the McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre on Saturday, April 11, and Sunday, April 12, the show is expected to draw thousands of attendees and feature more than 200 exhibitor booths. Admission is free, making the event accessible to families, homeowners, and anyone interested in upgrading their living spaces.
Event spokesperson Murray Redman says the HomeShow offers something for everyone interested in their home. “So the Home Show is basically, it’s a trade show for homeowners,” Redman explained. “Everything to do with your home is going to be on display with exhibitors at the show this weekend. We’ve got over 200 exhibitors and also a marketplace as well where there’s artisans in the mix. So it’s a great show for the entire family to come take in.”
The annual event has become a longstanding tradition in Kamloops, now in its 27th year. Over that time, it has grown into a key gathering for the region’s housing and renovation sector, connecting residents with local experts across a wide range of industries.
Those who go can expect a diverse mix of products and services on display. “We’ve got flooring, we’ve got HVAC guys, windows and doors, there’s going to be boat displays,” Redman said. “Whatever it is to do with your home, it’s going to be on display this weekend at MacArthur Island.”
Organizers say the show is designed not only as a marketplace, but also as a hub for inspiration and education. Visitors can explore new trends, gather ideas for future projects, and meet professionals ready to help bring those plans to life.
The event is also expected to draw large crowds throughout the weekend. “This is the biggest show that we do,” Redman noted. “So we anticipate about over 5,000 people taking part of the show over the course of the weekend.”
The HomeShow runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For those planning to attend, Redman recommends arriving early to secure parking. “The parking, it is a good sized lot. Sometimes you just have to pace yourself a little bit or wait a little bit to get a spot,” he said. “There’s also parking at the ball diamond… but the earlier you come to the show, the better chance you are going to have to get a nice spot.”
The event is expected to attract a strong turnout once again this year and with free admission and a wide range of exhibits, Redman says it’s an easy addition to weekend plans. “It’s the biggest show that we stage. There’s lots to see and do,” he said. “There’s no charge—so certainly make it part of your weekend.”
