It’s more the fair to say St. Anne’s Academy has caught Stankoven fever.
The former St. Anne’s graduate might be the most popular Alum in school history, and now the entire 400 of the student body are showing their support.
The K-12 school created a social media video to cheer on the Kamloops 23 year-old to a Stanley Cup.
“One of our teachers Pascolino Cuzzetto came in with an idea to make some posters for Logan. It sort of started from there,” said St. Anne’s Advancement Officer Suzanne Da Silva who also handles the school’s social media posts.
Da Silva then organized each class to show some love for the growing Kamloops icon who scored his 10th goal of the Stanley Cup Playoffs Thursday night to help the Carolina Hurricanes rally to tie the final series with the Vegas Golden Knights 1-1.
“We are so pumped to see Logan doing so well. All of the kids know who he is. We are completely behind him and supporting him,” beamed Da Silva in an interview with Radio NL.
Logan’s sister Macie also graduated from St. Anne’s and there’s several ties with the family and staff.
“It’s like family really. Even his significant other is our grade two teacher,” laughed Da Silva.
So would the Stanley Cup ever make a detour to St. Anne’s should Stankoven and the Hurricanes find a way in the final?
“Our kids would absolutely love that. That would be a very special and memorable day for everyone here.”
