The Kamloops Blazers have decided to shore up some of their draft capital.
“The Kamloops Blazers have traded 2007-born forward Ty Coupland to the Wenatchee Wild in exchange for Wenatchee’s sixth round pick in 2027,” stated the Blazers in a release on Tuesday.
Coupland was acquired by the Blazers in January 2026 at the WHL trade deadline.
In 33 games with the Blazers he had seven goals and 11 assists including one assist in five games this season.
The Blazers roster now sits at 24 players including 14 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders.
