Kamloops RCMP are asking for help in identifying a man who allegedly assaulted a 14-year-old at the McArthur Island skate park on Tuesday.
Mounties say they were called just before 6 p.m. on April 4 to reports that the teenager had been assaulted by an adult man.
“Prior to the assault, the victim youth and a second youth had an altercation which resulted in the victim youth being on the ground, at which point the suspect allegedly kicked the victim in the face,” Kamloops RCMP Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet said, in a news release.
The suspect is described as a white man, about 35-years of age with a reddish beard.
Police say he was wearing black pants, dark running shoes, a black hat, an orange hoodie, and a grey hoody with a graphic blue t-shirt.
He was last seen running from the skate park.
“We are releasing a photo of the suspect taken shortly after the assault, in hopes that someone can identify him,” Shohei added.
If you are able to identify this man, she says to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 at reference file 2023-11379.
