Kamloops RCMP have released a new picture of a suspect connected to the assault of a teenager at McArthur Island skate park last month.
Corporal Crystal Evelyn says police hope that this new, clearer photo will help them identify the man who allegedly kicked the 14-year-old victim in the face.
“Police are hopeful that by releasing the additional, clearer image obtained following the initial appeal, officers will be able to gather more information to help them secure a suspect ID and further the investigation,” Evelyn said.
The suspect is described as a white man, about 35-years of age with a reddish beard. Police say he was wearing black pants, dark running shoes, a black hat, an orange hoodie, and a grey hoody with a graphic blue t-shirt.
“Prior to the assault, the victim youth and a second youth had an altercation which resulted in the victim youth being on the ground, at which point the suspect allegedly kicked the victim in the face,” Kamloops RCMP Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet said, in the initial news release on April 8.
If you are able to identify this man, Evelyn says to contact Kamloops RCMP and reference file 2023-11379.
