UPDATE – Kamloops firefighters made quick work of a house fire in Brocklehurst this morning.

Crews were called to a fence on fire in the 1700-block of Parkcrest Ave., between Holt Street and Laroque Street, just after 10 a.m. June 9.

A photo from the scene showed flames on the west side of the building and black smoke billowing from the siding and the roof.

There is no word on how much damage was caused.
