The BC Wildfire Service is responding to an out of control wildfire, west of Lillooet.

The Casper Creek Wildfire is estimated to be 15 hectares in size and is burning above Highline Road, between Six Mile Creek and Sundquist Creek.

Wildfire Service ground personnel are on scene and three helicopters are supporting the response.

An Evacuation Alert has been issued by the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District for some properties in the Casper Creek Area in Electoral Area B, due to the potential danger to life and health.

• 19000 Highline Road

• DISTRICT LOT 4711 LILLOOET DISTRICT

Evacuation alerts are issued to allow residents to prepare to evacuate the premises of their property, should it be necessary.
