RCMP say a school in Logan Lake was put on a hold and secure Wednesday afternoon as Mounties executed a search warrant at a nearby home.
Police say Mounties in Logan Lake and Merritt as well as the RCMP’s Southeast District’s Emergency Response Team were all involved in the execution of the search warrant at an unidentified house.
Details are limited but RCMP spokesperson Cpl. James Grandy says the search warrant was related to an active and ongoing investigation.
“At this time, investigators aren’t able to provide details of the investigation for which the search was a part of,” Grandy said.
“However, we can reassure the community they’re not at risk.”
There are two schools in Logan Lake operated by the Kamloops-Thompson School District – Logan Lake Elementary at 4 Galena Avenue and Logan Lake Secondary at 50 Ponderosa Avenue.
