The Kamloops Blazers came up short Saturday night as they dropped a back-and-forth encounter to the Everett Silvertips 4-3 in overtime.
The Silvertips lead on three occasions at Sandman Centre, but the Blazers fought back each time to force overtime at Sandman Centre, but they were unable to eke out the win.
Both teams played a scoreless first period, before the Silvertips opened the scoring courtesy Julien Maze early in the second.
That lead didn’t lead long as Connor Levis power play goal brought the Blazers back even.
Levis’ seventh of the season gave newcomer Jordan Keller his second point as Blazer as he was credited with the secondary assist.

A goal from Teague Patton midway through the period though meant the Silvertips went into the locker room with a 2-1 advantage.
Sixteen-year-old Nathan Behm scored his third of the weekend at 5:31 of the third period to tie the game at 2-2. The Blazers rookie has six goals to his name this season.

Carter Bear and Emmitt Finnie then traded goals in the third to send the game to overtime. Ashton Ferster had a chance to end the game late, but his shot hit a post late in the period.
Dominik Rymon scored the power play winner for the Silvertips with less than a minute to play in overtime as Matteo Koci was serving a minor penalty for hooking.
The Blazers had a power play of their own in overtime when Rymon was called for hooking a couple minutes earlier, but Kamloops was unable to convert.
Keller came close to scoring the game winner about two minutes into overtime but he was denied by the Silvertips’ Ethan Chadwick.
