Kamloops RCMP say a local man is facing numerous charges after his arrest over the weekend.
They say Tyler Meldrum, 28, was wanted on two warrants for breach of a release order stemming from two Kamloops RCMP files that dated back to Sept. of last year.
He was also wanted on nine other warrants out of Alexis Creek, and another from Williams Lake.
“Efforts to locate Meldrum in Kamloops were unsuccessful but an investigator learned that he was likely hiding out in a residence in Alexis Creek RCMP’s area and connected with RCMP officers there,” Kamloops RCMP Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet said.
“Alexis Creek officers had been working hard to locate and arrest Meldrum but it wasn’t until an officer in Kamloops conclusively confirmed his location that he was arrested early Sunday morning at an address in Anaham.”
Meldrum was expected to appear in court in Williams Lake this morning.
“Crime may know no boundaries, but neither does the RCMP,” Shoihet added.
