The BC Wildlife Park is due to be a bustling and exciting place to be over the Easter long weekend.
General Manager Glenn Grant says they have a lot of activities for the whole family to take part in.
“Going to be doing Easter egg hunts about every half-an-hour, throughout all four days. We have a ton of chocolate!” noted Grant in a chat on NL Mornings ahead of the weekend. “Uncle Chris will be there every day. Kamloops Art Party, they’ll be there doing face painting for the kids, which is going to be a whole lot of fun.”
Grant says trainers will also be out with some of animals and answer questions.
He says there’s also a contribution from the Kamloops Art Gallery’s “Illuminate Kamloops” display which is likely to draw a significant amount of attention.
“It’s called a 3D interactive helix,” said Grant. “It’s kind of hard to describe. It’s on a three foot cube base. It looks like a football standing on its end, like a teed up football. It’s all spiral lights. It’s pretty cool. It’s all interactive. It’s voice and sound activated.”
He notes that on the Easter Monday, the Park has once again partnered with Canucks Autism for a sensory friendly day.
