Kamloops Mounties are asking for help from Juniper residents, after at least 10 vehicles were damaged between Wednesday and Thursday morning.
The discovery came after Kamloops RCMP were called out to the 19-hundred block of Qu’appelle Boulevard after someone reported smashed windows in a car.
Subsequently, the Mounties discovered numerous other vehicles with smashed windows and slashed tires along Qu’appelle, both in east and west Juniper.
“At this time, some of the victims may not have realized yet that their vehicle was damaged during this series of destructive acts,” said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. “We are reaching out to the public to see if they witnessed, have video surveillance including doorbell cameras, or dash camera footage that could help police identify a suspect.”
The Mounties say they’re not sure what time the vandalism started, but suggest it may have started as early as Wednesday evening and continued overnight.
Police are still working on contacting some of the owners of the damaged vehicles.
So far no suspects have been identified.
If anyone witnessed anything that could be related to this investigation, including suspicious vehicles or people observed in the area, or was a victim and has not yet reported it, you’re asked to call the Kamloops RCMP Detachment as soon as possible.
