
Kamloops RCMP are investigating a violent altercation that sent one woman to hospital with serious injuries following a late night stabbing on the city’s North Shore.
At approximately 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, officers responded to reports of two women fighting in the 200-block of Tranquille Road. Shortly after the initial 911 call, police were informed that one of the women had been stabbed during the confrontation.
Multiple officers attended the scene, and a suspect was arrested nearby shortly after their arrival. The victim was transported to hospital by BC Ambulance with what police described as “serious injuries.”
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident and who has not yet spoken with investigators to please come forward,” said Corporal Dana Napier, spokesperson for the Kamloops RCMP. “We are also asking businesses nearby to review their security footage around that time to help us further the investigation.”
The name of the suspect has not been released, and police have not yet confirmed whether charges have been laid.
