Kamloops RCMP have confirmed that new evidence indicates at least one shot was fired during the Monday morning incident on Notre Dame Drive. Investigators are continuing to search for additional evidence related to the shooting.

Kamloops RCMP have arrested a suspect following an attempted shooting early Monday morning.
Police were called to the 700-block of Notre Dame Drive at approximately 6:10 a.m. after reports of shots fired. Multiple frontline officers responded, with support from Police Dog Services. The alleged suspect was quickly located and taken into custody, and the firearm involved in the incident was recovered by police dog Nikka.
“Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident, as no gunshot round was discharged,” said Corporal Dana Napier, spokesperson for the Kamloops RCMP.
Charge recommendations are expected, though the investigation is still in its early stages. Authorities are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has video footage to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000, referencing file 2025-40529.
