Planning is officially underway for the 2026 edition of Music in the Park, one of Kamloops’ most cherished summer traditions. A staple of the city’s cultural and entertainment calendar since 1994, the event continues a legacy that began following the 1993 Canada Summer Games and remains a highlight for residents and visitors alike.
Supported by presenting sponsor BCLC, Music in the Park will once again bring live music to the community across more than 60 summer evenings. As preparations begin, the City is now inviting applications from both musical performers and mobile food vendors interested in being part of the 2026 season.
Performers from across North America are encouraged to apply, with organizers seeking a wide range of musical styles to create a diverse and engaging lineup. Artists passionate about live performance and connecting with audiences are urged to submit their applications by 4:00 p.m. on March 15, 2026. Priority consideration will be given to acts with multiple performers. Only selected applicants will be contacted.
In addition to live music, the City is expanding the event experience by welcoming mobile food vendors to the park. Vendors with an approved business license and mobile vendor status can apply to participate, offering concertgoers a variety of food options during performances. Applications for food vendors are also due by 4:00 p.m. on March 15, 2026.
Since 1994, BCLC has been a proud supporter of Music in the Park, helping bring people together through shared entertainment experiences. The organization emphasizes human connection as a core value, aiming to strengthen communities by fostering moments that bring people together.
Residents are encouraged to follow BCLC’s Kamloops Music in the Park Facebook page for the latest updates, announcements, and event details as the 2026 season approaches. An audio-visual sponsor, Lee’s Music, will once again support the technical production of the performances.
Music in the Park continues to celebrate community, culture, and connection—cornerstones that have defined the event for more than three decades.
