The BC RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit is marking the fourth anniversary of the homicide of 18-year-old Jagraj Dhinsa, whose death remains under investigation.
Dhinsa was found deceased in a parking lot on Chilcotin Road in Kamloops in January 2022. Police say the circumstances surrounding his death are still being actively investigated.
“This homicide was a senseless act of violence, and the investigation remains a priority for the SED MCU,” said Staff Sgt. Jason Smart, unit commander with the Southeast District Major Crime Unit. “It is important to police, the administration of justice, and the public that the person or persons responsible be held accountable. Solving this homicide is also critical for Mr. Dhinsa’s family to have closure.”
Investigators are asking anyone with information related to Dhinsa’s death, or anyone who had contact with him or knowledge of his activities or whereabouts in January 2022, to come forward.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the SED MCU information line at 1-877-987-8477.
