POLICE in Kamloops are searching for a driver who fled after a vehicle crashed into two homes Saturday morning.
RCMP say officers were called just before noon on April 25 to the 600-block of Arbutus Street following reports that a white SUV had struck two residences.
When frontline officers arrived, they found the SUV on its side wedged between the damaged homes. A female passenger remained inside the vehicle, but the driver had already fled the scene.
Witnesses described the driver as a white man around 40 years old, approximately 5’10” and 190 pounds, with balding hair. He was reportedly wearing a green shirt and black pants and was last seen running westbound from the crash site.
“A police dog assisted in an extensive search, however the driver was not located,” said Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet.
Investigators are continuing to piece together what happened and are asking residents in the area to review any CCTV or surveillance footage recorded between 11:25 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. that may show the collision or a person matching the suspect’s description.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file number 2026-12417.
