
Three people are in custody following a bank robbery in Kamloops’ Lower Sahali neighbourhood Tuesday night (May 19).
According to Kamloops RCMP, officers were called to a bank on Notre Dame Drive after three suspects allegedly entered the financial institution and demanded money from a teller.
Police did not specify which bank was targeted or exactly when the robbery took place.
Mounties say officers quickly responded and were able to track down and arrest the suspects shortly after the incident.
“Our officers acted quickly and effectively to locate and arrest those responsible,” RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Brett Urano said in a news release Wednesday morning. “This result reflects the strong coordination and dedication of our frontline members.”
RCMP say investigators are still working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the robbery. No information has been released about possible charges.
