Earlier online reports, now confirmed by the NHL Alumni Association, that one-time Kamloops Blazer-turned-NHL forward Kyle Calder has passed away.
The news was first put out by his daughter in a post on Instagram on Monday evening.

Calder played part of the 1998-99 season with the Blazers on a team that went to the WHL Championship series before losing to Calgary in the final.
He recorded 16 points in 15 playoff games during that run.
He played the majority of his WHL career with the Regina Pats.
Calder would go on to play 590 games in the NHL with the Chicago Blackhawks, LA Kings, Philadelphia, Anaheim and Detroit.
The Mannville, AB native represented Canada at the 1999 World Junior Hockey Championships.
No cause of death is being made public, other than that Calder suffered from a brief illness before his passing.
