The smoke hovering around Kamloops should start to dissipate soon.
B.C Environment Ministry Air Quality Specialist Ralph Adams says, Environment Canada is forecasting a change in the weather by the end of the week.
“They are forecasting temperatures to drop and they are forecasting showers up north of us in the Williams Lake to Quesnel area. So we are hoping that weather system removes a lot of the smoke that we are seeing now and get back to more normal summer conditions.”
The Air Quality Index in Kamloops is sitting at three, a low risk.
The smoke is coming from massive blazes in Siberia.
