Another strong month for real estate sales in Kamloops.
The President of the Kamloops and District Real Estate Association, Doren Quinton says there were 326 residential units sold in August 2018, compared to 305 units in July 2018, and 331 in August 2017, a decline of just 1.5%.
“Year to date sales 2,178 units compared to 2,331 last year so down 6.6 per cent. Its a little bit of an improvement from last month, but in that five to seven per cent below last year, which again was a record.”
The number of active listings at the end of August was 1,187 compared to 1,278 at the same time in 2017, just over 7% lower and close to 20% below the historical average.
The most active areas during August were Sahali with 34 sales, Brocklehurst with 32 sales and Westsyde with 28 sales.
