Solid attendance numbers at the B.C Wildlife Park in Kamloops despite another tough fire season.
General Manager Glen Grant says the magic number this year remains 100 thousand with just over 1000 more people needed to reach the figure.
Grant says when the fires raged in August they ended up 2500 visitors under estimates.
“We should end the year with one hundred thousand visitors. That’s still our goal and still attainable. Its a darn good number and so again if you are going back historically and we were 87, 85 thousand a few years back. In the last four years now we are averaging 100. I think that’s pretty good success.”
Grant says Clover the Spirit Bear continues to be the big attraction.
