UPDATE: 4:15 PM.
Several students were injured, one in critical condition, after a school bus carrying a high school girls volleyball team from College Heights Secondary in Prince George crashed today in the B-C Interior.
Cpl. Mike Halskov with BC RCMP Traffic Services says the bus went off the road northwest of Kamloops near Cache Creek.
Halskov says police don’t know the cause of the crash.
“At approximately 12:10 PM today, a bus with two adults and ten children crashed into a ditch in the 2600 block of Highway 97 near Cache Creek,” Halskov said. “Ashcroft RCMP and emergency services attended the collision. Injuries are all believed to be non-life-threatening.”
The BC Emergency Health Services says eight people were taken to hospital – one by air ambulance in a critical but non-life threatening condition.
The team was headed to Powell River to compete in the BC High School Volleyball Championships.

The other seven were taken by ground ambulance.
In all 12 people were being treated after the crash, which was called in around 12:04 PM today.
Still no word as to who was on the bus just yet, or what caused the crash.
All of the patients were cared for and triaged on scene.

Twelve people are being treated for injuries after a school bus crash near Cache Creek today.
The BC Emergency Health Services says early indications are that everyone is in a stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
Paramedics responded to the crash at 12:04 PM today on Highway 97 near Church Road.
The road was closed for a while, but it’s since been opened.
The 12 patients are being cared for and triaged, and there’s no word just yet on what caused the crash.
