Update: 3:55 PM
Kamloops RCMP have completed their search of the commercial unit in the 1400 block of Lorne Street.
Corporal Jodi Shelkie wouldn’t comment on what was found or seized from the unit at this time, as the investigation is still ongoing.
“During the search, devices were found that were believed to be explosives and some neighbours were evacuated immediately,” she told NL in an interview. “However, the RCMP Explosive Device Unit attended the scene and determined that the devices were benign and the area was safe.”
“All neighbours were allowed to return to their residences and businesses.”
Neither Cameron Cole or Charles Patrick have been arrested at this time. If you know of the location of either of these suspects, let police know.
Update: 11:30 AM
Two men are wanted by the Kamloops RCMP after a year-long investigation.
They were on scene at Cole and Sons Construction and Irrigation at Lorne Street and 15th Avenue this morning.
The investigation began with a home invasion at a Badger Drive property in Dallas, back in January. Police found guns, drugs, cash, and bomb-making materials inside.
Police were led from that home to another one in Westsyde where they executed another search warrant three days later.
Both homes were used by 35-year-old Cameron Cole whose whereabouts are unknown, according to Cpl. Jodi Shelkie.
“Because he’s renting or using in numerous neighbourhoods in Kamloops, it’s dangerous to the neighbours and any children who might be on the street,” she said. “On many levels, it’s a very dangerous situation.”
Cole has been charged with numerous weapons offences as well as charges related to the possession of an improvised explosive device.
Shelkie says there is a possibility Cole, who goes by the alias “Jeff Parks” or sometimes “Jake”, may have rented other residential or commercial property in the city, which may contain illegal or dangerous materials.
If you are a landlord that has rented to Cole or one of his aliases, the RCMP would like to hear from you.
Shelkie says police are also looking for 62-year-old Charles Gerald Patrick. He is wanted for weapons and stolen property charges.
Both men are pictured below, as well as guns found in the Badger Drive home.

Kamloops RCMP are currently executing a search warrant at a business near downtown.
Police breached a business called Cole and Sons Construction and Irrigation at Lorne Street and 15th Avenue just after 9 a.m.
“At this time, we have officers on scene as well as our Forensic Identification Section. And we expect that they’ll be here for at least a few hours,” Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says.
Witness David Johnson, who works at a neighboring business, says authorities put them under lockdown temporarily when they showed up.
“They had the dogs, had it cordoned off with police officers at each corner. They told us to stay in the buildings and stay away from the doors and windows,” Johnson says.
Police are expected to give more information on the incident before noon today.
