The BC Liberals MLA for Kamloops South, and former transportation minister, is taking aim at the women who replaced him in the role.
In a year end interview with Radio NL, Todd Stone says Claire Trevena has been the worst minister on government benches showing an alarming lack of understanding of her portfolio.
Stone says even worse, her government has brought in changes to the labour model governing big capital projects that will delay important projects.
“The fact that, that is going to drive up the cost of four-laning the Trans-Canada Highway and other major highway projects around the province by seven to 10 per cent,” Stone says.
“That is going to delay construction of those projects. As we have already seen is the case on the Trans-Canada east of Kamloops where the projects that I announced and I secured $200 million in funding for are now two years behind schedule.”
This fall, the province required all big capital projects over $500-million in value to use only pre-approved union labour.
Editors Note: Angelo Iacobucci passed away December 14th. While we work through our tremendous loss he continues to be a big part of Radio NL as he always will be. We have found a folder of almost 30 stories he had prepared for the holiday season. This is one of them.
