UPDATE: 10:35 a.m.
A report of possible shots fired at a home in Brock this morning has turned out to be a false alarm.
Armed with heavy weapons, Kamloops RCMP had shut down an area at Parkcrest Avenue and Mclean Street at around 3 a.m.
“The investigation revealed that there was no firearm involved and no shots were fired. There had been a verbal argument between a group of men and this may have been the precursor for the one report of shots being fired,” Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says.
Shelkie says the two men involved who were taken into custody have now been released.

Kamloops RCMP in body armour and sporting heavy weapons shut down traffic in a perimeter around a North Shore home this morning.
Police say they received calls of two men running in and out of a home in the area of Parkcrest Ave and McLean Street around 3:00am Monday morning.
RCMP say the reports had the men carrying a rifle and that shots were heard.
Once the scene was secured police say two men were taken into custody.
At this point the Mounties say it does not look like anyone was shot.
RCMP say there is not risk to public safety.
