Chase RCMP say a Pritchard man was taken to hospital after a dog attack over the weekend.

Sgt. Barry Kennedy says it happened in the village on Sunday.

“There was a person from Pritchard who was out walking his two dogs when another dog from the neighbourhood came out and attacked the two dogs that were being walked. The owner tried to step in and stop the attack and in the process he got bit himself on the leg.”

Kennedy says the man had some minor injuries and was taken to hospital to be checked out.

He says police have tracked down the owner of the offending dog and his information has been forwarded to TNRD bylaw officers for follow up.
