A 32-year-old man was arrested after an arson at the Mission Flats Manor.
Kamloops RCMP say they were contacted at about 10 p.m. last night by Kamloops Fire and Rescue.
Police say it appeared the fire was purposely set in one of the rooms of the housing complex, and a man who was seen on surveillance minutes before the fire alarm went off was apprehended at the scene.
Kamloops RCMP Staff Sergeant Michel Grondin says police are pursuing charges and couldn’t comment if the man arrested lives in the building or not.
The 55-unit Mission Flats Manor, a supportive housing complex, opened in November and is staffed 24/7.
