Information appears to be surfacing online about who the victim was in Monday night’s fatal shooting in Cache Creek.

While police have said little a crowdfunding campaign has been launched for a Brock Ledoux who according to the post passed away in Cache Creek Monday night.

The name matches information NL has received from sources about the shooting victim.

The crowd funding campaign seeks to raise $5000 for Ledoux’s celebration of life with anything left over going to the two girls he left behind.

A Brock Ledoux also pleaded guilty for a 2017 jailhouse beating of Jason Gourlay who was serving a ten month sentence after a guilty plea to charges in the 2016 hit and run death of Kamloops teenager Jennifer Gatey.

Meanwhile threats are being made against another man on social media, who according to his Facebook profile lives in Kamloops, for the “murder” of a Brock.

RCMP have only said a man was killed in a shooting Monday night in Cache Creek after an interaction between two men who knew each other.
