One man was injured in a car accident after he stopped to help an injured owl on the Squilax Anglemont Road near Holding Road in Lee Creek, earlier this month.
Chase RCMP say the man had picked up the owl and put it in the passenger seat of his Suzuki Swift back on January 6th, when his vehicle was rear-ended by a Hyundai Santa Fe.
The owl rescuer was hit by his car as he was still outside. He had to be taken to hospital in Kamloops, and his condition is unknown.
The other driver was not injured.
Police add that while they were assessing the collision, the owl woke up and flew away.
