Another robbery in Downtown Kamloops this month, the fourth in a matter of weeks.
The McCleaners drycleaners on Seymour Street was robbed around 11:30 this morning.
Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says a man suspect got into the store with a knife and a hammer.
“He went to the cash register, took the money that was inside and then left on foot. Our suspect is described as being 5’10”, either Caucasian or First Nations. He was wearing a grey hoodie with stripes on the lower sleeves, jeans, and black runners.”
She adds the clerk in the store was not injured.
So far, police have no evidence that links this robbery to the other three this month.
“Of course, we always take into consideration that they all happened in the downtown area,” Shelkie added. “Three of the four cases the suspect had been brandishing a knife.”
“Those are the only things that are linking them at this time, but we always take that into consideration.”
The Movie Mart on St. Paul Street was robbed twice, first on January 10 and then again on January 19.
The Whispers Adult Superstore on Seymour Street was later hit on January 20.
