The City of Kamloops is launching a new recreation registration system this month.
It’s called PerfectMind, and it’s being billed as a more user-friendly software, compared to the current system.
City Recreation Supervisor Linda Stride says they heard from a number of people who were frustrated with the old system.
“And this system, they are going to go online and be wowed by the ease of navigation,” she said. “Going online and registering will literally take seconds, whereas before you could be on there for a very long time.”
She believes the new program will increase the number of people who register online, as opposed to over the phone or in person.
“Your search functions are so much easier,” she added. “You can filter age, date, the type of class you’d like to be in, the time of day that you want your class and it will just bring up those classes that fit your search.”
“Our old system couldn’t do that.”
If you’ve been active in the last two years, the city has transferred your account details for you. Otherwise, you’ll need to create a new account.
To facilitate the transition, there won’t be program registrations possible between March 1 and March 5.
