
UPDATE –
There were no major injuries after a collision this morning between a pedestrian and a vehicle.
Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says the incident was at 3rd Avenue and Columbia Street, around 6:30 AM this morning.
“A male pedestrian was walking south in a crosswalk in the 300-block of Columbia Street when a vehicle that was turning west struck him,” said Cpl. Jodi Shelkie.
She notes the man was taken to Royal Inland Hospital and the driver stayed on scene and was cooperating with police.
The investigation is ongoing.
“At this time, they’ll be determining if a violation ticket will be issued,” Shelkie added.

There was a collision this morning between a vehicle and a pedestrian right by the hospital at 3rd Avenue and Columbia Street.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were on scene but it’s been cleared since then.
Kamloops firefighters say the call came in around 6:30 AM, but they were off the scene about 15 minutes later.
There isn’t much more information at this point, but RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says police will have more later today.
