Seems like the weather can’t make up it’s mind on the Coquihalla Highway, with a snowfall warning for the section between Hope and Merritt in effect.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Gary Dickinson says the Coquihalla summit should see between 15 and 20 centimetres of snow tonight.
“We have an area of low pressure that’s going to be arriving, crossing the B.C Interior today. And it’s going to be bringing some heavy snowfall, beginning early this evening.”
Dickinson says the Kamloops area shouldn’t see as much as the highway passes.
“We’re just looking at a 60 percent chance of flurries overnight, and then going into Sunday, we’re looking at a mix of sun and cloud with a slight chance of flurries in the morning.”
