The median price for a home in Kamloops dropped back below the half-million-dollar mark in April.
The value of $475,000 dollars is a decline from the milestone mark set in March of $502,500, but it is still an increase from the median price in April 2018, of $454,900.
The average home price, meanwhile, was also up about 11 per cent from a year earlier to $414,858. The average single family home price sat at $459,828 which is up more than six per cent from a year prior.
Brocklehurst was the most active area with 31 sales last month, with Aberdeen and Sahali each seeing 20 sales, respectively.
“The top sales category during April 2019 were homes priced in the $400,000 to $500,000 range with 71 sales, followed by those in the $300,000 to $400,000 range with 59 sales,” Kamloops and District Real Estate Association president Wendy Rungee says in a summary of sales for April.
“Overall the Kamloops housing market continues to show stability with sales running slightly below the last couple of years but improved pricing due to continued high demand and historically low supply.”
