The emergency room at the Ashcroft Hospital will again be closed overnight tonight.

Interior Health says because of limited staffing, the ER will be closed from 10 p.m. tonight until 8 a.m. tomorrow morning.

The hospital’s emergency department was also closed overnight twice last weekend. It is regularly open from Friday evening until Monday mornings, and similar closures have now happened eight times in a little more than 10 months.

Those in need of emergency care are asked by the health authority to visit hospitals in Kamloops, Lillooet or Merritt.
