A Lower Mainland woman was killed yesterday in a single-vehicle crash on the Okanagan Connector.
RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Janelle Shoihet says a black sedan was heading eastbound on Highway 97C when the driver lost control and hit the centre median, causing the vehicle to roll.
A 62-year-old woman from Surrey was the only person involved in the crash and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened about 45 kilometres east of Merritt, near the Elkhart brake check, early in the afternoon. One lane was closed in each direction for a short time after the crash.
Merritt RCMP are now investigating the crash with the Southeast District Traffic Service.
