The mayor of Logan Lake says the district will be improving its trail system with provincial grant money.
Robin Smith says the $100,000 from the province will be used to extend the off-road trail system.
“Connecting Chartrand Creek and Paska Lake, up sort of in that area. We’re pretty excited to see some of this work coming to fruition. The project should be completed by the end of the summer.”
Smith says the trails are used for horseback riding, walking and hiking as well. She says the long-term plan is to connect the trails to the municipal campground.
“From the campground out, I think that would be a really great thing to have that connectivity right from our own municipal campground. So we’re pretty excited about that, with the golf course right there and the access to the trail system right there at your fingertips, I think it’ll just make it a much more attractive place for people to come and stay and play.”
