Two men in the 20’s were arrested at the Esso gas station on Columbia Street this morning.
Police say at 8:30 a.m., employees from the gas station reported that a suspicious vehicle parked behind the building.
Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says police found the the pair sitting in the pick up truck which was stolen out of Saskatchewan.
“The 26 year old man sitting in the drivers seat was arrested without incident, but the 24 year old male passenger resisted arrest and was ultimately taken into custody,” Shelkie said.
“It was found that both men were breaching conditions from Saskatchewan. As well, the passenger had a warrant for his arrest from Saskatchewan.”
Shelkie says police have cleared the scene, and the BC Prosecution Service will be determining the charges.
